When we suffer a catastrophic event such as the loss of a loved one, a personal attack or some other humiliation the hippocampus, the part of the brain that is responsible for memeory, can get fixated on that experience. It never takes it and puts it into memory but, like a video tape loop, it plays it over and over again. This is not the case for everyone. Some may suffer a traumatic event and they don’t get stuck in this hightened state, rather they are able to regulate their memories and return to calm. It is this ability to return to calm that I help you to achieve through TRTP (The Richards Trauma Process)

Getting Unstuck

TRTP is a new method of treating trauma. It uses hypnotherapy to step people through trauma quickly, effectively and safely, generally in 3 or 4 session. Think of it as a form of psychic microsurgery that uses hypnotherapy to reset your central nervous system, to turn the video loop off and bring you to a place where you can feel that you are now safe and the danger has pased. It works at a deep unconscious level, and allows the therapist to speak direlctly to the unconsious and the body that it is safe to let these memories and the associated trauma go and move on and arrive in the safety of the present.
